Welcome to Kempsey Workpool Inc.

Better known as KOGS

Kempsey Workpool Inc. is a non-profit organisation, funded by ADHC "Ageing, Disability and Home care, Department of Human Services NSW", to provide Day Program support to adults with disabilities in the Kempsey LGA. Our main objective is to initiate and promote opportunities for people with disabilities to have a better quality of life and increased participation in the community. KWI’s management committee consists of volunteer members from the local community, with membership being open to anyone with an interest.

KWI was formed in 1991 to assist TAFE students with a disability  to obtain work. This led to taking part in the development of the employment service Focus Workforce and KWI acting as a contractor and employer for a number of clients.

In 1994 KWI was accepted as auspicing body for the (then) new Post School Options program.

In 1999 Post School Options was replaced by the ATLAS program.

In 1999, KWI became involved in the administration and sponsorship of KOGS, a performing arts group for people with (and without) disabilities.

In 2002 KWI were granted further ADHC funding, to provide Community Access and Day programs for people with a disability in the Kempsey LGA.

In 2002 Kempsey Workpool adopted the name KOGS Support Services.
